Spring is here - and so are the higher UV ratings!

A few things you may not know about the risks of sun exposure:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Queensland has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Two in three Australians will develop skin cancer before the age of 70 but the damage starts during the younger years

๐Ÿ‘‰ 99% of skin cancers are caused by ultraviolet radiation (UVR), too much exposure to the sun.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Around 324,000 non-melanoma skin cancers and 3,700 cases of melanomas are diagnosed each year in Queensland.

Remember to be sun safe, every day.

๐Ÿ‘• Slip on sun-protective clothing

๐Ÿ˜Ž Slop on SPF30 or higher sunscreen and reapply every two hours

๐Ÿ‘’ Slap on a protective broad brimmed hat

โ›ฑ๏ธ Seek shade where possible

๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Slide on wrap around sunglasses that comply with Australian standards
